As we near the end of a chapter within the ESKE project, our team is filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve undertaken alongside our partners from the UK and Zambia. Together, we’ve embarked on a path marked by collaboration, challenges learning, and growth.
Throughout this journey, we’ve engaged in diverse activities, profound reflections, and meaningful dialogues that have shaped our collective understanding and impact. As we prepare to the next chapter, we invite our partners from the UK to join us in sharing experiences.
During this event, we will explore the essence of community impact, dialogue and knowledge exchange. It’s an opportunity for everyone involved in community work to come together, share insights and challenges, and connect with like-minded professionals from diverse backgrounds.

THE DAY IS FOR…
The day is an opportunity to reflect on recent projects and/or experiences you and your organisation have been involved with in a collaborative, constructive and supportive environment. The space can be used as a mechanism to think about how to create better structures to translate and communicate your experience.
This might include (but is not limited to) consideration of your own personal journey through the organisation you are working for or with. It might be about exploring outcomes: high and low points. It might involve thinking about how your work might inform decision-making, generate impact, or ensure an ongoing legacy.
In choosing to use a community space, rather than a university campus or conference venue, we are offering an open space for the exploration of the unfinished, the work in-progress ‘messy’, as well as the completed projects that you want to share with others. In this respect, this day is a developmental opportunity as well as a chance to showcase your work and connect with others.
WHAT WE WILL BE EXPLORING:
What does success look like? What does good partnership look like?
How do we build a process of legacy into the work? How can new work be supported?
The day will be divided into two sections with both facilitated discussions/workshops and space for people to continue or generate their own conversations. You are welcome to share video material as well as present with or without slides or posters.
PAST AND PRESENT
What? – what has been done and/or what is happening now
FUTURE
What now? – exploring plans, making connections
BEFORE THE EVENT
LET US KNOW: What do you want to get out of the event? What are your priorities? As individual and as an organisation? What do you want to share? How much time do you think you will need to share your work?
CAN YOU COMMIT TO THE DAY?
For us to plan effectively we want to know whether you can make the commitment to attend. We wish to keep the event relative small and personal so a maximum of 30 people will be taking part.
